Open Device manager, Uninstall the Display device. Shut down. Unplug the computer. Press the power button. Open the computer. Plug back up. Press power Button. Enter the BIOS. Load Optimized Defaults, Save and Exit. Finish the Install and reboot.

What I think happened, Your Power Supply most likely crapped out or the card died. Try card in another computer. If you need more help, PM me from this thread. When looking to uninstall the KB update the update wasn't present on the list of updates, I'm not sure how relevant that is to resolving the issue.

Hi, when I turned on my computer tonight my display was suddenly stretched and smaller than what it has been for months before x I've tried restarting my computer multiple times and has had no effect at resolving the problem, although however the computer starts with the correct resolution until it gets to the login screen, which then reverts back to x the highest resolution option it gives me. I've tried to update the driver ATI Radeon Graphics to see if it was simply out of date but when attempted to update it says that I'm using the current version and is up to date.

I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver yet. I'm stuck what to try now as the internet hasn't been very useful so far most similar problems seem to be on Windows 7 and 8, which isn't the most helpful thing in the world so any help is appreciated! Close Window. To select a separate resolution for each monitor, you must switch to Extended Desktop mode: Right-click on the Desktop and select Graphics Properties. Click Display , select Multiple Displays. Select Extended Desktop mode and click apply.

You can now select the largest resolutions for each monitor.
