Homeless Children and Youth II ARP Act Section b Funding to help local educational agencies identify homeless children and youth, provide wraparound services that address the multiple effects of the COVID pandemic on homeless children and youth, and ensure that homeless children and youth are able to attend school and participate fully in school activities.
In-Person Instruction and Expanded Learning Opportunities Grants State funding provided to local educational agencies and state special schools to assist with offering in-person instruction, and to expand in-person instruction time, provide academic interventions and accelerate progress to close learning gaps.
Low-Performing Students Block Grant The Low-Performing Students Block Grant LPSBG provides funds for local educational agencies serving students identified as low-performing on state English language arts or mathematics assessments, who are not otherwise identified for supplemental grant funding under the Local Control Formula, or eligible for special education services. Mental Health and Wellness Resources Funding is awarded to the Kern County Office of Education to contract with the Child Mind Institute for purposes of developing mental health and wellness resources.
Project School Emergency Response to Violence Project SERV Federal funding used to provide education related services in which the learning environment was disrupted due to a traumatic crisis or violent event that impacted teaching and learning. Proposition 39 - California Clean Energy Jobs Act A state program providing funding to local educational agencies for improving energy efficiency and creating clean energy jobs.
SB COVID LEA Response Funds Funding provided to local educational agencies to be used for costs associated with maintaining nutrition services, cleaning and disinfecting facilities, personal protective equipment, and materials necessary to provide opportunities for distance learning. Southern California Regional Occupational Center Funding is provided to the Southern California Regional Occupational Center to assist in the transition to a fully fee-supported funding model as the local control funding formula reaches full implementation.

Temporary Emergency Impact Aid for Displaced Students Program Emergency Impact Aid The Emergency Impact Aid program provides funding to local educational agencies that provided instructional opportunities for displaced students who enrolled in their schools as a result of the October and December wildfires in northern California, and for expenses the LEAs incurred in serving those displaced students. CAASFEP members are responsible for implementing categorical programs funded by states or federal departments in school districts and county offices of education. The County Co-op was formed to coordinate some instructional services for small districts. Each of these small districts participates in the Co-op by choice. Participating districts pay an annual membership fee.
